Oh, for more hours in the day!

Currently working on: Christmas!!! Aaaack!
Mood: Aaaack!

Who has a TBR pile that most closely resembles this famous tower?  I know, you’d all raise your hands but you’re using both hands to hold back the potentially fatal slide.

So many good books, so little time to read — especially this time of year.  But as a writer, I have to read to refill the Well of Words, so I can tell myself it’s for my Muse.  As a life-long reader, I have to read because… well, because I HAVE to read.

Since I’ve already read Allison (dark and intriguing) and Kim (lush and moody), and Sharon isn’t out yet (but go find the monsterpedia on her website!), I’m satisfying myself with the following:

In my purse: Nightkeepers by Jessica Andersen
Fascinating 2012 end-of-the-world Mayan prophecy and a sexy conflicted hero

On my desk: Night Life by Caitlin Kittredge
Tough-guy heroine with a smart mouth (okay, yeah, always a fave attribute of mine) and a cityscape that is a character in its own right

At the kitchen table: Lament by Maggie Stiefvater
YA with a magic-touched heroine who feels very real and faeries who feel very dangerous

There are other books (oh, are there ever — on the couch, next to the bed, in the car…) but I don’t want to look like I have a problem or anything.

Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance
to win Annette’s lovely minty gift this week!
